RCIA/Initiation (18+ years old)  (RCIC- 7-17years of age)

Are you interested in becoming Catholic? Sacramental Preparation is conducted through our OCIA program. The process for becoming Catholic is called the Rite (Order) of Christian Initiation of Adults OCIA), which is our formation process for adults who:

  • Have never been baptized

  • Have been baptized but want to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation

  • Those who have been baptized in another faith and would like to become Roman Catholic

RCIA is the Catholic Church’s process to bring people, through study, spiritual growth and community, into the heart of the Kingdom of Heaven. RCIA is a faith journey designed to meet our fundamental spiritual needs as God’s children and help us identify with and become a part of a faith community. The RCIA program begins each fall and ends at Easter the following spring.

If you are curious about the Catholic faith but not yet ready to commit to OCIA. That is OK! We welcome you to the classes too.

Please call the office to learn more about the process at 410-939-2525 or email Fr. Francis at franz.belleza@archbalt.org.

If you are ready to be a part of OCIA at St. Patrick Havre de Grace, simply fill out the following form and return it to the parish office. For general questions regarding OCIA, use the online contact form.
